Jambo na karibu (Hello and Welcome) to ekea
safaris. My name is James Mwadime Mzaza and I come from the Taita
Hills. These cover a vast area of scenic splendour.

Part of the area is a privately owned Game
Reserve and the wildlife here is prolific. I have grown up amongst
the animals and my love of the wildlife and natural habitat came
from my upbringing. I left home as a young man after completing my
education, to make my own way in life in the city of Mombasa. I have
had various jobs ranging from being a broker for various taxi firms
to owning my own taxi and safari bus. My experience grew over the
years taking locals and tourists on excursions and safaris. From
here came the idea of combining my knowledge and experience with
others who also work in the safari business. I am the Managing
Director of ekea safaris and head the Company.
Our Sales Manager Mr. Patrick Abuti Odhiambo
has nearly 10 years experience working with safari and transport
companies. He has attained a diploma in management and has worked in
accountancy and computers.

During his 7 years working in the safari
business he has gained vast knowledge and experience. He is fully
committed to providing the highest standards to our clients and
heads a highly motivated team of salesmen who strive to ensure that
all our clients are provided with the most up to date information on
all aspects of our safaris on offer.
Emma Waithera is our office secretary who has
recently joined our company after going to college to learn tourism
and safaris.

She is dedicated to working in this field and
particularly enjoys the contact with our clients and especially
enjoys hearing about the experiences of our clients whilst on
safari.
Our drivers have many years of experience and
are very knowledgeable about the natural habitat and wildlife.
We would like to welcome you to ekea safaris.
Ekea is a derivative of "weka" which means to put something some
where to be looked after, so let us send you on safari and look
after you.

We sincerely hope your safari with us will be a
memorable one.
Kwaheri (Bye) from us all and hope to see you
in the near future.
