NGULIA SAFARI LODGE

Ngulia Safari Lodge enjoys an unrivalled site
on the edge of Ndewe Escarpment with breathtaking views over the
vast African Bush. It is located in Tsavo West National Park. It
overlooks the famous rhino protected reserve, which is the
largest in the world. The lodge has 52 rooms and each one faces
the vast wilderness. There is a swimming pool, a strategically
placed restaurant, two bars and a viewing bay for the wildlife.
After dark, the waterhole by the lodge is floodlit allowing
guests to see the nocturnal animals coming in from the bush to
quench their thirst. Here the guests have a rare chance of
coming close to the leopard in its natural environment as it
comes for the baited meat at the floodlit viewpoint. The lodge
is internationally renown as a haven for bird lovers who travel
every year to Kenya between October and December to ring
migrating birds. It is the only place this activity takes place
in Kenya.
OL TUKAI
LODGE

Ol Tukai Lodge is set at the
foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Amboseli National Park which is world
renowned for its elephant population.
The lodge with its African style, wide-open spaces and manicured
lawns blends into its surroundings. Facilities include
conference rooms, wildlife library, beauty spa, art boutique and
an attractive chapel for the most unique weddings. The
beautifully appointed rooms provide quality, comfort and
attention to detail. After an exciting game drive, a soothing
aromatic massage is ideal and the magical Elephant bar offers a
variety of cocktails and cooling smoothies.

TAITA
HILLS/SALT LICK SAFARI LODGE

Salt Lick Safari Lodge is
located in the heart of the privately owned Taita Hills Wildlife
Sanctuary at the foot of the Taita Hills and consists of 96
rooms elevated on stilts and linked by raised walkways. Most of
the bedrooms, as well as the restaurant and the terraced bar
command spectacular views of the waterhole and surrounding
grasslands, where elephant, buffalo and a variety of plains game
can be seen throughout most of the year. Floodlights illuminate
the bush to allow visitors to view the game at night, there is
also a tunnel and chamber allowing guests to closely and safely
watch the game close up at ground level. There is also a
swimming pool and tennis court.
SHIMBA
HILLS LODGE

Shimba Hills is set in a
beautiful rainforest setting, the lodge is full of old world
charm with a “tree house” design perched on stilts above the
floodlit waterhole. Elephants can often be seen here during the
day and in the evenings. All rooms are comfortably and uniquely
furnished and overlook the watering hole. Rooms have access to
shared toilet and shower facilities.
The rolling meadows and
forests of giant primeval trees house a wide variety of
wildlife, including elephant that favour the refreshing fruit of
the borassus palm. There are leopard but these are very
difficult to spot. The rare and impressive Sable antelope can be
found here at Shimba Hills. It can be found in the same
neighbourhood as large herds of buffalo. The Sable antelope can
be found elsewhere in Kenya but not in such large quantities as
found at Shimba. It is closely related to the Roan antelope,
which it resembles, though smaller in stature. Both sexes carry
the large 100-160 cm horns, which rise vertically before curving
backward in a pronounced arc.
There are picnic sites on
either side of the escarpment which provide entrancing views: to
the east overlooking the distant turquoise of the Indian Ocean
and to the west, on the right day when it has exceptional
clarity Mt Kilimanjaro can be seen. Also the Taita Hills can be
viewed from this point on a clear day. Shimba Hills National
Reserve also has a large number of insects that create all sorts
of unique sounds once the sun goes down.
Unspoiled and one of the
least exploited of all Kenya’s game reserves, the combination of
rolling grasslands and forest, of hill and valley and the
shadowy animals and superb insect habitat make the Shimba Hills
a delight for all nature lovers. Escorted walks through a true
fairyland are also available on request.
TREETOPS
LODGE

Treetops is an impressive
looking tree house constructed above a floodlit watering hole
and salt lick. This world famous lodge provides a grandstand
view from its observation lounge and rooftop viewing area.
In 1932 its first visitors
climbed the wild fig tree supporting the two-room tree house. In
February 1952 Princess Elizabeth climbed the tree house only to
descend the following day as Queen Elizabeth 11.
The lodge rises straight out of the ground on
stilts, it has 4 decks and a rooftop viewing platform. There are
50 twin bedrooms, which are neat and cozy and are designed like
cabins on board a ship. There is shared toilet facilities.
Dinner is imaginatively served at tables with bench seating.
Coffee and liqueurs are served in the comfortable lounge, which
features picture windows and trees growing through the building.
The bar is open every night until midnight. On clear mornings
Mount Kenya can is clearly visible. There are two hides at
ground level at either end of the lodge
SAROVA
MARA CAMP

These luxurious tents (75
in all) have en suite facilities, electricity and zip up fronts,
they have a permanent floor and roof. They are set in beautiful
grounds of manicured lawns and exotic flowers. It is situated on
a rise between two streams in the heart of the Maasai Mara Game
Reserve, the camp includes a swimming pool, 2 bars and
restaurant that serves both international and local food, you
can also have evening barbeques.
KILAGUNI
SERENA LODGE
The first ever lodge to be
built in a Kenya National Park. Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge is
superbly situated in the lee of Mount Kilimanjaro, encircled by
volcanic splendour, adjacent to a teeming water hole and daily
visited by vast herds of elephants, buffalo and plains game.
Inspirationally positioned so that not only all the rooms but
also the open air restaurant, timbered game viewing decks and
rock built bar enjoy uninterrupted views of the legendary snows

Voi Wildlife
Lodge & Safari Spa
Found nestled in the heart of elephant
country, Voi Wildlife Lodge is located in Tsavo East, Kenya.
This lodge is relatively new, being officially opened in
2003. It is situated on a 25 acre site on the boundary of
Tsavo East National Park, with spectacular views of nearby
volcanic outcrops. It is designed to blend unassumingly into
the surrounding environment, it has a natural waterhole
which often attracts big game including lion, cheetah,
buffalo and a rich variety of birds.

The lodge is ideally suited to visitors
wishing to combine safari and beach holidays. It is only
approx a 2-3 hr drive from Mombasa and has an average
temperature of 25 degrees Celsius during the day and is
slightly cooler in the evenings.
The lodge has 72 rooms - 24 luxury, 32
superior and 16 standard rooms. Facilities include

comprises 30 fully furnished en-suit, spacious, luxurious
tents sitting on the banks of the Tsavo River. Man Eaters

course meal, in natural ambience while the sound of the
Tsavo river sets the mood.
Tsavo West offers
tremendous views with diverse habitats ranging from
mountains, river forest, plains, lakes and wooded grassland.
Game includes: leopard, cheetah, buffalo, black rhino,
elephant, giraffe, lesser kudu, water buck, eland, gerenuk,
impala, zebra, lion, crocodile and small mammals including
